RESHAPING BY NATURE

Reshaping means converting unusable scraps into new resources.
We are committed to doing this without causing excessive waste, and using renewable energy

Environmental Impact

How much plastic is there in the world?

On a global level, the production of plastic is expected to increases at a rate of 30% by 2030 and 60% by 2050. This will bring the world total to around one billion tons

of plastics (sources: https://www.lifegate.it/plastica-iea-petrolio).

What is the cost for the environment?

To recycle 1,000 kg of plastic post consumption you need::
2,000 Kg of used plastic, 1000 l of water and 950 kWh of power.

To recycle 1,000 kg of plastic from the post-industrial scraps you need::
1,000 Kg of plastic from industrial scraps, 80 l of water, and 220 kWh of power

…what does it all mean?

In the short term the plastic that is non-biodegradable becomes waste. It accumulates in landfills or is sent to incinerators – with scarce energy returns– generating enormous costs in terms of waste management and environmental costs.

Why recycle?

Industrial scraps are likely to go along the same path: recycling is the best strategy to reduce the environmental impact of managing plastic

Your choice
